ANALYSIS OF THE OVERVIEW OF THE MANAGEMENT OF SOLID URBAN WASTE OF THE MUNICIPALITIES OF THE MASS OF BATURITÉ

Abstract

The current reality of Brasil is characterized by difficulties in relation to basic sanitations, existing a direct connection to management of the urban solid waste, thereby causing, social and environmental instabilities, since it strongly affects the life quality of the population. Solid waste configures itself for being any solid matter or semi-solid produced by man of by nature that can be exploited. The present research brings as general objective, the realization of an analysis of the solid waste management in municipalities of Maciço de Baturité, located in the State of Ceará, focusing on the positive and negative impacts, that reflects on the sustainable development in these places. Being then, a descritive and exploratory research, where he sought to perform a detailed investigation of informations in relation to integrated management of Solid Waste (RSU) developed in the municipalities belonging to Maciço de Baturité, are they: Acarape, Aracoiaba, Aaratuba, Barreira, Baturité, Capistrano, Guaramiranga, Itapiúna, Mulungu, Ocara, Pacoti, Palmácia and Redenção. The Maciço de Baturité is located between the central backland of the State of Ceará and the             Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza (RMF) being located to approximately 100 kilometers of the capital (SETUR, 2014). Were analysed variables that made it possible to reach a complete diagnosis of the current reality of the RSU management in the municipalities in question, reaching  the conclusion that integrated and sustainable management of the solid waste becomes the most appropriate action for the area. However the reality found is that public administration investments are walking contrary to this type of management.
